| This top 10 digital agency is headquartered in the UK and is represented in 10 other countries in Europe and Asia. They are fully integrated with services that include Web design and build, media planning, search and affiliate marketing, relationship (CRM) marketing and advertising.
The Head of Search will be responsible for leading the agency's Search marketing practice (PPC and SEO), for developing the SEM product in line with industry and search engine developments, for managing the search team and for ownership of all aspects of the relationship between the agency and a portfolio of direct response clients, with combined billings in excess of £8M per annum. The role includes leading and coordinating an extended team of up to seven people, ensuring a consistently high quality of output from the team.
The successful candidate will display an excellent knowledge of direct and search marketing, with a minimum of five years' experience working in marketing or media and at least three years digital experience, specifically in search engine marketing. They must also be able to demonstrate sound strategic thinking and would be required to develop a good understanding of the advertising, marketing and business objectives of agency's clients.
Given the analytical nature of direct response marketing, the successful candidate should be highly numerate and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Finally, they must be able to demonstrate excellent client servicing skills and be able to communicate and present at board level. The Head of Search role also requires advocacy of digital marketing techniques and demonstration of thought leadership in the digital space. |
