This is a unique opportunity to be part of something new, exciting, vastly expanding and fun. This business is a new venture in the UK but has plans to become the biggest online retailer in the UK within its first few years of business.
Your role will be to participate in the optimisation of the natural positioning on search engines, you will manage content editing, ensure the drafting of textual content is optimized for natural referencing. You will control the audit of the editorial content of the site and drafting recommendations, whilst maintaining architecture: In conjunction with technical teams, and search engine agency, you will participate in the optimisation of existing pages and creation of optimized new pages.
This is a busy role and as such you will also have ownership for the integration of new developments on the site, create and implement strategy linking internal and external and be the main POC with comparison sites. An important element of the role will be the Liaison with search agency and internal departments you will be monitoring, analysing the optimization of search marketing campaigns (return on investment, return on advertising spend) and you will execute search engine campaign management (Google, Yahoo! Search, MSN, etc).
Furthermore you will utilize and implement Paid Search/SEO best practices and monitor emerging industry trends and communicate both internally and externally.
Applicants must be educated to degree level or equivalent, and be highly passionate about the internet, issues of visibility and ideally have experience in managing web projects. You must be experienced in comparison sites, have relevant online media experience, preferably SEM (Paid Search and/or SEO).
You will ideally have a technical knowledge base on the internet with excellent organisational and communication skills, finally you will need to be a Team player, with ability to work on own initiative.
