The SEM Creative Editor is responsible for writing online ads for top companies as they relate to specific keywords on which people are searching. With the ability to see ongoing metrics on how ads are working, the creative editor is responsible for testing new ad copy and getting key messages to the right audiences through creative optimization. The creative editor will also be in charge of keyword development and keyword organization as it relates to the structure for presenting clients' ads online.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with Account Managers, Web Experts, etc. to create unique and optimized ads.
Ability to think about how people search for things online.
Ability to develop and organize keywords into campaigns that best put ads in front of the right people.
Ability to work both creatively and analytically and come up with ways to change ads that aren't working.
Ability to move quickly and proactively for client success in a deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to assist in all work types as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelors in English, Journalism, or Communications preferred.
Proven writing and communication excellence. Editorial and/or marketing experience in an online, magazine, book or other publishing environment is a plus.
1+ years Search Engine Marketing a plus but not required.
2 years of online marketing and/or journalism experience a plus.
Great attention to detail.
Intuitive/creative thinker.
Outstanding computer skills, computer savviness, including solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability to a changing environment quickly and easily.
Manage multiple assignments and prioritize work while meeting deadlines.
Resolve complex editorial challenges in a professional and timely manner.
